My Dear Sir

I got a present
of a copy of Dr. Smith's
work from himself
last night. It only
wants binding.
What a pity we
did not know
sooner. It will
perhaps be impossible
to countermand the
one ordered already

I have thought an
antelope named Nakon
should be introduced
into one of Wolf's pictures
Anderson never saw
it and I did. the horns
& foot he got his
picture from were
brought by Mr Oswel
& myself , the skin
was sent by me
to Colonel Steele. It
lies or rather hides
itself in the water
with the horns put

back horizontally with
the back and only
the tip of the nose
above water It is
more paunchy than
in Anderson's picture
There is room for it
in the picture with
the other new antelope
I should like too another
pretty little antelope
we have which
is figured in Angus'
book.

The only thing Mrs
L. did at Lake Ngami

was to make a cup
of tea for me — did'nt
turn up the whites of
her eyes or do the
sentimental at all
so you must not
make her holding up
her little finger even
You might oblige me
by sending for “[Harris]
& Smith tomorrow

I am &c.

David Livingstone
